Father Christopher C. Steinle, O.S.A., recently returned to Latin America in his new ministry as an Augustinian missionary to the Province of St. Michael, headquartered in Quito, Ecuador. Father Steinle began this service in February following several years of ministry for the domestic needs of the Midwest Augustinians’ Province.
The Augustinian Commission for Justice and Peace encourages Augustinian schools, parishes, and communities to observe International Day of Peace, September 21, with learning, prayer and other actions to promote peace, and invites all who identify with Augustinian spirituality to do likewise.

Please join us remotely this Sunday at 5 pm Central for the First Profession of Vows of David Relstab to the Midwest Augustinians. Internet permitting, we will attempt to live stream the event through the Midwest Augustinian Province Facebook Page. Regardless, we will be posting the full video afterwards on our Province website and sending it out over our email list on Monday morning. David will profess his vows to Prior Provincial Anthony B. Pizzo, O.S.A. at the St. Rita Shrine Chapel in Chicago, and this fall, he will begin his Theologate at the Catholic Theological Union and reside at St. Augustine Friary in Chicago.

Why I Joined the Augustinians:
After reading Augustine’s Confessions, I saw myself relating to what he had experienced in his own life. Further, the sense of community I witnessed with the Augustinians isn't only evident in their houses, but also resonates in the communities where they serve.
