We rely on charitable gifts to support three main priorities:
For information about other ways to give, including bequests, stock transfers, appreciated securities, or property/real estate, please contact Chief Advancement Officer Ed Barrett at 773-614-5898.
Vocations:
The Province spends $100,000 per year reaching discerners across North America
Then, $50,000 per year for each man who enters our formation program
Each Augustinian priest represents an upfront investment of $300,000 over 7 years of formation
Will you invest in the education of future priests and brothers?
Retired & Infirm Friars
After retirement, Augustinian friars are supported by the Province–not the diocese or school where they served.
When these men enter Assisted Living, the Province spends $47,000 per year on their care and support.
As the number retired friars grows, the collected income of active friars is not enough to support them.
Will you contribute to the care of our eldest friars?
Missions in Peru
Since 1962, the Midwest Province has directed and funded missions in northern Peru, serving and advocating for the country’s most vulnerable populations.
These missions–called the Vicariate of Chulucanas–are now staffed almost exclusively by Peruvian-born vocations, coming from the villages we serve.
Although the Vicariate strives for self-sufficiency, they need your gifts to run local ministries such as food pantries, schools for children with intellectual disabilities, and vocational education for women
Will you support your neighbors in Peru?
Ed Barrett, Director of Advancement
“The support of our Augustinian community is essential to our ability to carry out the Good Works of our Ministries. You are in our prayers every single day.”
One Mind, One Heart Society
The Augustinians of the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel are members of the worldwide Order of St. Augustine in the Roman Catholic Church. Centered in the Eucharist, prayer, and community, we strive daily to live the Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love. Continuing our legacy of service in advancing education, offering pastoral care and friendship, and spreading the Faith, these virtues shape our service in schools, parishes, and the missions as we announce the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
One Mind, One Heart Society members share these attributes:
• They believe in the mission and charism of the Augustinians,
• They pray for the Augustinians in formation, for an increase in vocations, and for our ministries, and
• They provide an annual commitment of $1,000 or greater in support of our men in formation and vocations outreach, retired and infirm Augustinians, and our missions in Peru.
Tokens of Our Appreciation
One Mind, One Heart Society members enjoy these benefits:
• The knowledge that they are helping to advance the mission of the Church and the Augustinians,
• Invitation to an annual One Mind, One Heart Society Mass and reception,
• Invitations to special retreats and pilgrimages led by
Augustinians, and
• A beautiful lapel pin of the Augustinian emblem,
