Rev. Ronald R. Turcich, O.S.A. will join the select group of inductees in the Mendel Catholic High School Hall of Fame.  The induction ceremony will take place August 18.

Mendel Catholic High School, now closed, was an Augustinian high school in Chicago, Illinois.  Currently, Father Ron’s health condition precludes his traveling to the current location of the Hall of Fame at St. Rita of Cascia High School, Chicago.  So a group of Mendel alumni, led by Bob Napoli and Joe Palumbo, will take to induction to Ron.  Members of Ron’s family and several of his former students are expected to attend.

We are proud of Fr. Ron, and congratulate him on his great service as an Augustinian. While at Mendel, Fr. Ron served as the Vice-Principal.  He also served as the Vice-Principal of St. Rita of Cascia High School (Chicago, IL), the Principal of St. John the Apostle School (Joliet, IL), the Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Parish (Pekin, IL), the Associate Pastor of Divine Savior Parish (Norridge, IL), and the Pastor of St. Peter Parish (Douglas, MI).  Fr. Ron now lives in an Augustinian retirement community in Lemont, Illinois.

Congratulations, Father Ron!
