Download Your Augustinian Prayer Kit: International Day of Prayer for Refugees

Monday, November 16, 2015 has been designated by the Augustinian Prior General as a special Day of Prayer for Refugees.

The Most Reverend Alejandro Moral Antón, O.S.A., world leader of the Augustinian Order has asked Augustinian friars and sisters around the world to pray on that day for refugees, persecuted Christians and victims of war.  He also encouraged Augustinians to welcome and aid refugees in any way they can.

"The first step is to seek the interior transformation that permits us "to hear" humanity in need, the poor and the excluded," Father Moral said.

Augustinians invite and encourage all you who are reading this to join with us on November 16 to pray for refugees.  You can download the Augustinian prayer service to use yourself or with others.  For a shorter prayer, particular sections can be used.

"All these refugees, coming from wherever they come from, are the family of Jesus and yet it seems that there is no room at the inn for them (cf. Lk. 2:7).  They ask for a response from us ... May the Lord grant us a compassionate heart ... " Father Moral said.
