Celebrate Your Departed Loved Ones: An All Souls Novena

The Augustinians often speak of having a "restless heart," but we specifically think of this restlessness when we approach November 2, the Feast of All Souls.  The saying comes from our Holy Father, St. Augustine:

You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.
— Confessions 1,1,1

This restlessness stems from our desire to truly know God.  To love Him.  To be with Him when we leave this world and are reunited once again with Him.  And so we take the opportunity to celebrate our loved ones who already left us to be in His presence by praying for their souls in a solemn nine-day All Souls Novena.  Please join us.  We want to offer you the opportunity to participate in this novena in memory of a loved one.

As our special gift, you we would like to offer you a complimentary card commemorating the novena .  You may use the card to notify a friend or family member that their loved one will be remembered during this holy novena.  Imagine how they will feel when they see your envelope in the mailbox, letting them know that their loved one will be remembered for nine Masses by the Augustinian priests and brothers!  Cards are limited, though, so please contribute as soon as possible.

Complimentary Mass cards for the Augustinians' All Souls Novena are available while supplies last. ©Barton Cotton, All Rights Reserved.

The novena will begin on October 25 and end on November 2. Though we recommend a suggested contribution of $35, please know that all contributions are welcome and voluntary.  Your sacrifice means so much more knowing that all donations support Augustinian vocations, the retired and infirm Augustinians, and our impoverished missions in Peru.

The world needs more Vocations!  All voluntary contributions support Augustinian Vocations, as well as retired Augustinians and impoverished missions in Peru.

If you wish to have your loved ones included in the All Souls Novena, please complete the form below by Monday, October 19. If you would like more cards, please email Mary Gal Carroll or call her at 773-595-4008.  May Mary, Our Mother of Good Counsel, St. Augustine, and all the saints pray for you and your intentions.
