Augustinian Annual Report for the Year Ending June 30, 2015

Dear Friends of the Augustinians,

Thank you for your friendship and support!  We continue to make progress in all areas of our Province, and much of this success is to you!

This year we have integrated a new digital annual report into our communications.  In this report, you will see many of the significant events of the past fiscal year (June 30, 2014 - July 1, 2015).  The following are a few summarizing points I'd like to make.

Since we first published our first annual report in 2012...

  • We had 33 men in formation (seminarians).  In 2013, we had 35 men, and as you'll see on the Timeline of Impact page, we had a total of 37 in formation in 2014!  By the end of 2015, we had 39.  These increases are good news for our Order and our Church!
  • With more men in Augustinian formation, we consequently must continue to invest more resources into their education, housing, and other vocations outreach efforts.  We are working to prepare for their future through the Continuing Our Journey of Faith capital campaign.  This campaign, launched in September 2014, will build the Fr. Ray Ryan, O.S.A. Trust devoted to these efforts.  It will also grow the Journey of a Lifetime Trust which the young men of today will eventually depend on in the future for their retirement needs.
  • Our fundraising proceeds have increased an incredible 76%!  We now have about 1,800 active donors, of which 48 enrolled in the One Mind, One Heart Society last fiscal year.  This society recognizes those who donate or pledge $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund each year.  We also welcomed Lisa Solava, Martin Wojcik, Pat Ormsby, GT Bynum, and Ted Berman as the newest members of the Augustinian Advancement Advisory Council.
  • We've reduced our drawdowns from our reserves by 55%.  This reduction allows the principal to grow in order to meet the demands of our Province's future.  This year, we also began utilizing the Father John McKniff Trust to meet the increasing needs to support our seminarians in Peru.

If you would prefer a condensed, printed version of this year's report, please email the Augustinian Advancement Office or call them at 773-595-4008.

May God bless you!  Please know of our prayers for you and please pray that we continue to make progress and for more vocations to our way of life!

Sincerely in Christ and St. Augustine,
