Annual Assembly, Vicariate of San Juan de Sahagún, Peru

The Annual Assembly of the Vicariate of San Juan de Sahagún took place from January 6th to 10th in Trujillo, Peru. The event began with a two-day retreat, followed by three days of meetings. The assembly's primary purpose was to bring together all the friars of the Vicariate to plan for the 2025 pastoral year.

The Assembly was overseen by Regional Vicar Very Rev. Ramiro Castillo Castro, O.S.A., and his Counselors Rev. Reydín Rumy Alvarado More, O.S.A., and Rev. Isoe Dominguez Ramirez, O.S.A., as well as Secretary Rev. José Falú Benites Montero, O.S.A., and Treasurer Rev. Jorge Martinez Vizueta, O.S.A. The Assembly was also attended by Very Rev. Anthony B. Pizzo, O.S.A., Prior Provincial of the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel.

During the assembly, various reports were presented, covering important aspects of the Vicariate's Annual Assembly, Vicariate of San Juan de Sahagún, Peru St. Augustine Statue Installed in Chapel de San Nicolás de Tolentino, St. Rita Parish, Trujillo, Peru activities, including updates from parishes, schools, finances, locations, youth ministry, and other apostolic ministries. The discussions centered on evaluating these reports and addressing the necessary actions for the year ahead.

Despite the packed agenda, the assembly was productive and efficient, as many responsibilities were already being met and only minor updates to plans and ministries were required. During the Assembly, plans for the friars' assignments and whether any changes in assignments would take place were also confirmed. As the assembly ended, Fr. Tony presided over the closing Mass.
