Augustinian Chaplains at Covecrest, Annual Life Teen Summer Camp in Georgia

Two friars and two sisters pose smiling for the camera in front of a large bonfire in a green field.

The Augustinians served as Chaplains for Life Teen summer camp in Georgia during July.

Every summer, teens from across the country gather at Covecrest in Georgia to experience the Lord's presence together through daily mass, worship, Bible study, and other spiritually engaging moments.

Fr. Tom McCarthy, O.S.A., Fr. Jack Tierney, O.S.A., Sr. Amaya Hernandez, and Sr. Ines Anson attended Covecrest Summer Camp with 350 teenagers for a week of talks, adventures, and ministry.

It was a beautiful witness of the Augustinian charism in the midst of beautiful natural settings.

The Augustinian chaplains distributed stickers and wristbands to the teens and we gave the college missionaries a booklet about Augustine's "college days" and his conversion.

Fr. Jack also went whitewater rafting with teens from Prince of Peace parish.
