United in Prayers and Support with the Kidnapped Girls in Nigeria and their Families
The message below was received from Emeka Obiezu, O.S.A., head of Augustinians International, the Augustinian Non-Governmental Organization at the United Nations.
Augustinians International adds it voice to the growing number of those who seek the safe return of the hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls who have been abducted by Boko Haram.
It is deeply troubling to hear the leaders of Boko Haram refer to the girls as “slaves” and declare that it plans to sell them “in the market” and “marry them off.”
The greatest way to defeat evil is not to keep silent! Add your voice in this solidarity.
