Welcome to Awakened by the Light, a Women's Lenten retreat set in the spirit of renewal, reflection, and conversion.

As we gather in Chicago on March 14-15, we enter into a sacred time to explore our spiritual journey from blindness to sight, allowing Christ’s light to transform our hearts and lives.

This retreat is designed to be the right size for everyone—whether you choose to arrive Friday evening for an overnight experience or join us for Saturday only. Friday will feature an independent module that will enrich the journey for those staying overnight, yet our Saturday attendees will step right into the retreat experience without feeling out of touch.

Throughout our time together, we will journey through John 9:1-41, the powerful story of the man born blind, using Lenten themes and Augustinian spirituality to deepen our reflection. We will consider how Christ calls us out of darkness into His light, illuminating the path of personal conversion and mission.

The retreat will include prayer, guided reflections, silence, and shared conversation, all fostering a deeper encounter with God and one another. We will gather for Mass, uniting in worship and thanksgiving as we seek renewal in Christ’s presence.

As we embark on this journey, may we open our hearts to the grace of healing and the call to discipleship, awakened by the light of Christ, who leads us ever closer to Himself.
