Healing Mass with the Anointing of the Sick

A special Healing Mass with the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated Saturday, October 5 at 4:00 pm at St. Bernard’s Church, 13030 W. 143rd Street, Homer Glen, IL. Fr. Joe McCormick, OSA, Pastor, will preside assisted by several other Augustinians, including Bishop Dan Turley, Frs. John Merkelis, Jeff Raths, Richie Mercado and Jim Halstead and several Augustinian professed seminarians. Fr. Jim Halstead will offer the homily of the Mass. The parish’s lay Ministers of Communion to the Sick will also be assisting the priests. This special Mass is modified to accommodate the extra time needed for the anointings. All those who are ill or planning surgery or living with any chronic health condition are invited to attend this Mass to receive this Sacrament of the Sick. Any who suffer weaknesses due to advanced age are also welcome to share in the power of this sacrament.
