Denise and Robert Utter Join Augustinian Advancement Council
The Augustinians are proud to welcome Robert and Denise Utter as the newest members of the Augustinian Advancement Advisory Council! Denise and Robert are faithful and active parishioners of The Catholic Community of St. Jude, a parish in the Diocese of Joliet that has been served by the Augustinians since 1993. They are the proud parents of Kelsey, Ryan, and Maddie, who are alumni of Providence Catholic High School, an Augustinian high school served by the Augustinians since 1985. Their oldest daughter, Kelsey, also graduated from Villanova University, an Augustinian college near Philadelphia, PA.
Denise Utter has been the Director of Parish Faith Formation at the Catholic Community of St. Jude in New Lenox, Illinois since 2007. She is also a Catechetical Associate for Family Faith Formation in the Diocese of Joliet, as well as a nationally recognized author and speaker for Our Sunday Visitor. Denise is pursuing a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies at Catholic Theological Union and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University. In 2014, she and Fr. Don Lewandowski, the pastor of St. Jude, won the New Wineskin Award from the National Conference of Catechetical Leaders for Explore 4, the life of the parish component of their holistic multi-component faith formation program. She wrote an article about the experience in Catechetical Leaders magazine.
Robert Utter is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Blackhawk Consulting Group, the recognized leader in providing patient-friendly billing statements. Rob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Mathematics from Eastern Illinois University. In addition to being a retired Illinois Army National Guardsman, he is also a member of the Military Officers Association of America, National Guard Association of the United States, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
