An Invitation to Sunday Mass: Parishioner's Video Highlights Ministries at St. Jude Parish in New Lenox, IL

A parishioner at St. Jude Parish, New Lenox, is so grateful for the effective ministries of the pastoral staff there that he made a video to tell the world about it and to invite more people to be part of the parish community.

St. Jude Parish, of the Diocese of Joliet in Illinois, has been served by the Augustinians since 1993.

Starring in the video are Fr. Don Lewandowski, O.S.A. (Pastor); Fr. Bill Sullivan, O.S.A. (Associate Pastor); Fr. Homero Sánchez, O.S.A. (Associate Pastor); and Tom Labanauskas (Music Minister and member of the St. Jude choir).

“When we moved back home to Chicago five years ago, we searched for a good Catholic church with good priests. We found a great one at St. Jude,” John Ruane said.  "for three years I have felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to to write something about this parish."

"This video was produced to share the inspirational experience of attending mass at St. Jude Parish in New Lenox, Illinois, inviting all to join us. Pope Paul VI said, 'Mass is the most perfect form of prayer,' " he said.  Mr. Ruane hopes that his video will invite and call people, especially the lapsed and the lost, to return to church.
