On April 25, 2014, the Augustinians of the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel honored three Augustinian priests as their honorees at their second gala:  Fathers David L. Brecht, O.S.A., Ph.D., Bill Sullivan, O.S.A., and the late Father Jack Gavin, O.S.A.  Each honoree received their own tribute book and tribute video that night.  We are happy to share each of the honoree tribute videos online now!

On December 19, 2013, the Midwest Augustinians re-elected the Very Rev. Bernard C. Scianna, O.S.A., Ph.D., to a second four-year term as Prior Provincial of the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel.  He will begin his second term in June of 2014.  Read more for an interview with Fr. On April 25, 2014, the Augustinians will hold their second gala at the Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago.  Our inaugural gala, held one year earlier, attracted 460 guests, 40 sponsored tables, and raised over $130,000 in support of the Augustinians.  This year, we are pleased to announce our three honorees will be...

Last month, Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago, offered an opening prayer to the 460 gathered to celebrate the Augustinian Inaugural Gala.  He briefly discussed his role in electing Pope Francis, Augustinian spirituality and ministry, and the Church in Latin America.  Check out this video to see an excerpt from this Invocation.
