This Friday, September 26th, two undefeated Augustinian football teams meet in competition! Come and enjoy a great game as the Providence Catholic Celtics take on the St. Rita Mustangs at Doyle Stadium on 77th and Western.
Pat Ormsby Joins Province Advancement Advisory Council

Announcing Goal for Continuing Our Journey of Faith Campaign
On September 16, 2014, the Very Rev. Bernard C. Scianna, O.S.A., Ph.D., Prior Provincial of the Midwest Augustinians, announced the goal and official launch of the Continuing Our Journey of Faith capital campaign. The campaign hopes to build the Fr. Ray Ryan Trust for vocations and the Journey of a Lifetime Trust for the retirement needs of the Augustinians. Please watch his announcement here.
Father Brecht Enters Eternal Life
Father David L. Brecht, O.S.A., passed away the afternoon of Saturday, September 6. Fr. Brecht served as the Prior Provincial of the Midwest Augustinians for three terms, the Headmaster at Cascia Hall, Principal at St. Rita High School, and many other institutions. Over brunch, Father Bernie will discuss the current works and priorities of the Augustinians, as well as the future vision of the Augustinian Order.
Have You Been Marked for Life?
We are looking for stories of how the Augustinians have impacted people’s lives for the good. The concept of being "Marked for Life" by the Augustinians refers to Fr. Bernie Scianna's speech delivered on June 10 at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. In the speech, he commented on how he received a letter stating how the Augustinians have forever marked him for life for the better; they instilled core Augustinian values and virtues that follow him today, and that he continues to pass on to his children.
